Andrew Essien Ndifreke, a Nigerian woman has been stranded in Ghana for two days after operators of Ghanaian airline, Fly Africa, told her it’s against their company policy to fly anyone in a wheelchair. Ms. Ndifreke left Port Harcourt to Lagos and to Accra by flight, but now stranded in Accra. According to her, she tried other airlines too but they all turned her down. She was left with the option of facing a 10-hour road trip to her destination

Nigerian hitmakers, D’Prince, Timaya and Sean Tizzle have not had their MTN endorsement deals extended. On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, MTN unveiled its latest set of ambassadors which featured majority of the celebrities who signed endorsement deals with the telecommunication company in 2014. According to reports, Fuse; an affiliate of the booking agency said the stars who failed to get new gig with the company are not on MTN’s new list. Others who didn’t have their deals renewed were iMike (the second winner of MTN Project Fame), Afrojuju legend Sir Shina Peters, and on-air-personality Yaw. The new ambassadors are Iyanya, Praiz, Chidinma; The Mavin Crew – Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid and Don Jazzy, Banky W, Comedian Hafiz Oyetoro (Saka) as well as OAP/Comedian Nedu of Waziobia FM Lagos, KCee, Harrysong, Sound Sultan and KCee. Abidjan — The President of Côte d'Ivoire, H.E. Mr. Allassane Dramane Ouattarra, has told the African Union Commission Chairperson, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, that he will retire after his second term as President, if elected. The AU Commission Chairperson informed the press after an audience with President Allassane Ouattara on Thursday 28th May 2015. The AU Commission Chairperson met with the President of Côte d'Ivoire on the margins of the 50th Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank (AfDB) taking place at its Headquarters in Abidjan. President Ouattarra informed Dr. Dlamini Zuma that election plans are well underway and going smoothly. The elections are set to hold in October this year.
