Image
Before Olamide become a success story in indigenous rap music he had to pay some sacrifices and learn the ropes. The YBNL Boss in an interview with Andre Blaize, My Africa podcast said that he had to spend six years in the studio with his former producer and mentor, ID Cabasa learning how to churn out hit songs . Growing up in Bariga, the rapper and singer from a humble family background had to decide on what he wants from life early and that was music even against the wish of his family. “I approached ID Cabasa with my group of a song that we were doing but he did not have time for us as he was busy with other artistes. I met Lord Of Ajasa at the Coded Tunes studio. Having loved music from church, I felt music was it for me and I hung around at the studio watching how songs were made. At a time, I practically lived in that studio having left home for good. It took me six years in the studio learning and being tutored all I could from ID Cabasa before I finally dropped Eni Dur

"He couldn't physically pass a medical tomorrow, but if the medics say it's just a technical thing and he's only a couple of weeks away you'd take that gamble and hope they're right." Stop Calling Buhari ‘Baba Go Slow’ Dickson Warn Nigerians

Image
The Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has said it is wrong for some Nigerians to call President Muhammadu Buhari “Baba go slow,” adding that such a derisive appellation demeans the office of the President in the eyes of the international community. Speaking during a news conference at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday, Dickson said that calling the President derogatory names was bad politicking. He also condemned those who referred to former President Goodluck Jonathan as “clueless,” saying it was wrong to demean the occupier of the highest office in the land. The governor, whose tenure expires on February 28, 2016, has yet to formally declare his intention to seek re-election in the December 5, 2015 governorship election coming up in the state. Martins has now scored nine goals in 13 MLS games this season. Sounders’ next game is against Olimpia in the CONCACAF Champions League on Thursday.

5 Reasons Davido Is Afraid To Release His Sophomore Album, ‘Baddest’

Image
HKN chief  Davido  sophomore album ‘ The Baddest ’ was initially billed to drop on June 8, but to our suprise the album was postponed. Last weekend’s announcement makes it the second time he’s letting fans down. However, we came up with 5 solid reasons why we think Davido must have postponed the release at the last minute.. Peep below 1. The rivalry with Wizkid tops the list. With Wizkid hoping to drop his 3rd album in September, Davido must be pushing for a competition of some sort, with hopes both releases could coincide. No? 2. Last week, Davido was spotted partying with American rapper, Future which made tongues wag over a possible collaboration between both acts. We think Davido could have postponed the album release to accommodate a collabo with Ciara’s baby daddy or any other International guest act. 3. In July, Drake and London rapper, Skepta jumped on Wizkid’s Ojuelegba. We believe again this must have made Davido return to the drawing board as the song has been r

The project, which is costing the country millions of dollars and is being managed by the Office of the National Security Adviser, is meant to frustrate terrorist attacks on the country. It was further revealed that the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan approved the request by security agencies to spy on targeted sections of the population, mainly religious extremists and radicalised individuals. It was gathered that the project is being coordinated by some foreign firms, including an Israeli firm, Elbit System. Our cor

Beyonce Oozes Sex Appeal as She Shows Off Cleavage and Bare Butt in New Vogue Shoot

Image
R&B queen, Beyonce oozes sex appeal in her stunning photo shoot for the September issue of Vogue Magazine, of which she is also the cover star.   The 33-year-old mother of one looks incredible in the shots, taken by famed photographer, Mario Testino, for the fashion tome's annual big-fashion autumn issue. On choosing Beyonce as the cover star, Vogue says: "There’s only one September issue, and there’s only one Beyoncé. It used to be that the great pop stars with fashion and style gave us small variations on one grand theme. Tina Turner: minidresses and honey tresses. Janis Joplin: boas, bangles, and bell-bottoms. Cher: spangled striptease getups with mythic Third World touches.  Nowadays fashion isn’t about the grand theme, it’s about juxtaposition, and it’s filled with allusions to movie and art history; to music and dance styles; to iconographies of race and ethnicity, religion and gender. Madonna opened the door to this collage approach. Today we see it
